31L_JFK_0210_JP_small.jpgAmerican 767 looks on as the 747-400 commences takeoff on runway 31L at JFK, with ice and snow flying around in the 747's wake (I am in a safe position a good distance away with a zoom lens)
AIRFRANC_747-400_INTLAIRSPACE_1011small.jpg
AIRFRANC_747-400_INTLAIRSPACE_1011small.jpgFirst time ever getting this kind of photo in U.S. airspace (you are more likely to see this over busy European airspace). I'm in a Jetblue E190 flying BOS-CLT and from my left side window seat, I saw this 747 from a distance on the right side window, so luckily the next row over was empty so I grabbed the camera and as the AF 747 got closer I snapped away. Most came out unsharp (typical through airplane windows with zoom lens), but this was good enough to share. We were on Southerly track south of New York.. -if you know where it was headed please put in comments below

MRO_MIA_1008J.jpgThis previous ZOOM 757 is in the paint strip area undergoing a chemical process that will remove the blue paint in preparation for repaint for the next livery it will fly in. Note how several parts of the airplane are protected from the harsh chemical remover
